The Mandarin Oriental Paris is launching a colorful circus-themed tea time. Entitled “Bento Circus”, it’s a hullabaloo of recipes on offer until March 31, 2016. <\/p>\n

An unbreakable link between two worlds <\/strong><\/p>\n

The encounter between the 7th art and large, renowned hotels is nothing new. Cinema has always shown its attachment to palaces. This time, it’s not just a question of choosing a diverse theme. A former haunt of the Nouveau Cirque, the Mandarin Oriental Paris has forged a unique relationship with this nomadic yet sedentary form of entertainment. <\/p>\n

Today, he draws on this art to create a menu as eclectic as it is surprising. The idea originated with the clown duo Foottit and Chocolat, emblematic characters of the French circus. Passed over in silence in the history of this high-flying discipline, they are brought back to life in a film by Roschdy Zem. The gallery features a series of exclusive stills from the film, as well as archival photos and prints. <\/p>\n

What about the menu? <\/strong><\/p>\n

Now it’s Thierry Marx’s turn, head chef at Cam\u00e9lia restaurant, the gastronomic hub of Mandarin Oriental Paris, to pay tribute. The “Bento Circus” tea time consists of 6 sweet and 3 savory items. Priced at 38 euros, it includes a vanilla bavaroise with blackberry\/blackcurrant compote in the shape of a clown’s nose, a white chocolate bow tie, a caramelized popcorn corn and smoked duck breast tartlet, and a cotton candy foie gras bonbon. <\/p>\n

As for cocktails, Bar 8 unveils “La Piste aux \u00e9toiles”, a base of Belv\u00e9d\u00e8re vodka infused with harlequin candy, passion juice, strawberry and raspberry and cotton candy espuma, priced at 27 euros. Sugar-lovers will be delighted! <\/p>\n

All these culinary creations contribute to reinforcing Mandarin Oriental Paris’s position as one of France’s foremost gastronomic landmarks.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
