Les Vignerons des Terres Secr\u00e8tes present here one of their emblematic cuv\u00e9es that perfectly embodies the excellence of their terroirs.<\/h5>\n
Drawing its expression from the predominantly limestone soils that border the village of Verz\u00e9, the Chardonnay grape variety makes up 100% of this cuv\u00e9e. The winemaking methods used are designed to highlight the identity of the “M\u00e2con-Verz\u00e9 Croix-Jarrier” terroir. Harvested at full maturity, the grapes undergo slow pressing and precise settling before fermentation and ageing on fine lees. <\/h5>\n
The 2014 M\u00e2con-Verz\u00e9 Croix-Verz\u00e9 has a luminous, silvery gold color. The nose is crystal-clear. Mineral notes (gunflint, chalk) underline the personality of a terroir that is colder and more tautly expressed than other M\u00e2connais hillsides. This mineral framework gradually fades, revealing fine notes of white fruit and violets. On the palate, pear notes are very present, adding density and an almost tactile sensation. Long, vibrant and inexhaustible, this wine also has a slightly saline finish. <\/h5>\n
The typicity of this wine is best expressed with smoked salmon cake, scallop salad, pike quenelles or Burgundy parsley snails. With an aging potential of 3 to 5 years, this wine is best served between 11 and 13\u00b0C. <\/h5>\n
