Intel Corporation and Lady Gaga – the Oscar-nominated, 6-time GRAMMY\u00ae-winning global music icon – delivered a one-of-a-kind musical experience at the 58th GRAMMY Awards ceremony, broadcast on CBS. Combining Lady Gaga’s unique artistic vision with Intel’s innovative technologies, the collaboration was a multi-faceted tribute to a great music legend. This unique performance demonstrates the full potential of technology when placed at the service of the artist, enabling an exceptional stage experience. <\/p>\n

“I love mixing art and technology to create more powerful experiences,” said Lady gaga. “This collaboration with Intel was very different from anything I’d done before. They really gave me extraordinary technologies to create with.” <\/p>\n

Specialized equipment, used by Intel technicians and Lady Gaga’s creative team, and powered by Intel\u00ae Xeon\u00ae, Intel\u00ae Core™ and Pentium\u00ae processors, generated all the performance needed to harmonize lighting, sound and projection systems with Lady Gaga’s movements.<\/p>\n

Innovative technologies designed for this performance include :<\/p>\n

– Digital skin<\/strong> – An “animated face” has been developed for Lady Gaga. It allows her to adopt a variety of looks during a single performance, creating an unprecedented effect. Intel’s most powerful processors were used in the development of this aspect of the show. They enable precise tracking of her facial movements, while the ” digital make-up<\/strong> ” is adapted and displayed directly on her, thanks to a projector powered by a 6th generation Intel Core processor. <\/p>\n

– Interactive video<\/strong> – Lady Gaga was able to control her image directly on a magnificent wall of LED screens. Her ring, equipped with the Intel\u00ae Curie module, created real-time effects as she turned and animated her wrists and arms, while Intel Xeon processor-based media servers generated live content. <\/p>\n

– Robotics<\/strong> – Lady Gaga’s beautiful pink and gold piano came to life thanks to three robotic arms powered by Intel\u00ae Atom™ processors. They danced in harmony, creating unexpected movements on an ordinarily motionless instrument. <\/p>\n

– Interactive holograms<\/strong> – By combining her ring, which incorporated Intel Curie technology, with holographic display equipment, Lady Gaga was able to generate beautiful three-dimensional holograms of the legend she was paying tribute to.
