Mary Karantzou is once again a guest in the Adidas Originals sphere. T-shirts, skirts, pleated dresses and reversible teddies are customized through her eye. <\/p>\n

Sportswear has never been so uplifting for women. It’s a myriad of futuristic pieces designed by Mary Karantzou. Wrapped in electric and pastel colors, this collection is adorned with characters immersed in the Adidas Originals universe. Following in the footsteps of Yohji Yamamoto, Topshop, Stella MacCartney and Pharell Williams, Mary Karantzou is inspired by the 80s, a period of outrageous color. She reappropriates this profusion of sparkling hues, combining surrealist tableaux with sporty fashion. This creative gymnastics showcases athletes of all categories in full exercise. Baseball, artistic swimming, badminton, skiing, motocross, tennis – it’s a meeting to which we’re all invited. <\/p>\n

These disciplines swim in the Adidas Originals pool and seem to enjoy the moment. Adidas Originals federates the entire sports industry. Since 1949, the Dassler family has devoted its energies to ensuring the longevity of its space shuttle. This longevity is justified by the creation of sportswear and footwear lines that merge with women’s bodies. Comfort and femininity become one. Everything seems to make sense in Adidas. Who better than Mary Karantzou to create a bridge between digital printing and sporty toning? No one on the horizon. <\/p>\n

As usual, Mary Karantzou hypnotizes by adopting the posture of scenic director for Adidas. It’s impossible to tear your gaze away from the densely-packed shapes of the story she’s telling. <\/p>\n

The photographer behind these shots seems to come straight from a planet where Inca and Greek goddesses rub shoulders in a Japanese garden. These works of art, with their furtive movements, stand out from the crowd and reflect an aesthetic in keeping with the brand’s aspirations. <\/p>\n
