Barbados’ famous Carnival is just around the corner. From June 27 to August 3, the island will be alive with music, dance and festivities. Visitors will be enchanted by this unique experience! <\/p>\n

The Crop Over Festival has been the talk of the town for over 40 years. Originally, Barbados – where the famous singer Rihanna hails from – was the world’s largest producer of sugar cane, and celebrated the end of the harvest with a colorful, laugh-out-loud festival. The tradition has continued and gained notoriety, with thousands of tourists from all over the world now making the trip. <\/p>\n

The festivities kick off with a grand opening gala and continue with fiery parades, concerts and exhibitions. It’s a chance to sway to socca and calypso while sampling spicy, traditional dishes. More than a month of pure madness and 100% “caliente” atmosphere, culminating in the Grand Kadooment, where the island’s wildest costumes are unveiled and awarded prizes. <\/p>\n
