Created in 2003, the Universit\u00e9 d’Et\u00e9 de la Mode aims to welcome foreign students and young professionals to Lyon, and introduce them to the region’s textile industry.<\/p>\n
Organized by the Universit\u00e9 de la Mode and Modalyon, the Universit\u00e9 d’Et\u00e9 de la Mode has three main components: firstly, lectures by professional speakers and professors from the Universit\u00e9 de la Mode, on a variety of subjects such as ethical fashion, merchandising, fashion distribution networks … company visits, including this year’s tour of the Herm\u00e8s workshops, as well as those of Nathalie Chaize; and finally, professional meetings, including a visit to the Village de Cr\u00e9ateurs de Lyon, and a meeting with the Marketing Department of Galeries Lafayette de Lyon!<\/p>\n
Students were also able to visit the region’s most important fashion museums, including the Mus\u00e9e des Tissus et des Arts D\u00e9coratifs in Lyon and the Mus\u00e9e International de la Chaussure in Romans, as well as the private collection of Paul Poiret dresses in Villeneuve-l\u00e8s-Avignon.<\/p>\n
The Universit\u00e9 d’Et\u00e9 de la Mode is three intensive weeks of fashion, discovery and valuable learning, all carried out in the magnificent and historic city of Lyon!<\/p>\n
