\"Screenshot<\/a>From February 12 to April 13, 2014, YellowKorner presents the work of English photographer Lee Jeffries. His famous portraits of the homeless, both intimate and humanistic, have already toured the world and continue to enjoy immense success via their publication in such renowned media as Time Magazine, CNN and The Huffington Post. In addition to an exhibition, YellowKorner would like to pay tribute to this artist by publishing and distributing his creations in an ArtBook.
\nDuring his travels in Europe and the United States, Lee Jeffries met a large number of homeless people with the aim of getting to know them and expressing their emotions by photographing them. Although he specialized in covering sporting events, nothing could have predicted that he would devote a significant part of his career to portraits of the underprivileged. This desire was born of an initial
\nencounter that changed his approach to photography: on seeing a young homeless woman in London, he grabbed his camera one day and spontaneously photographed her. This confrontation changed his perception of the homeless forever. Today, the homeless are an integral part of his artistic approach, through which he is committed to raising awareness and denouncing a universal injustice. Lee Jeffries regularly travels to the most underprivileged areas of major Western metropolises such as Miami, Los Angeles and Manchester, where a growing number of people are forced to live on the streets. The photographer produced an impressive series of images, mainly portraits of men and women, captured head-on using a tight framing system. Isolated from their context and photographed in black and white, they seem to emerge from the unknown and appear more present than ever. The proximity and intimacy thus recreated with the viewer is unsettling. The artist has intensified the emotion of their contrasting gazes, and emphasized the features of their faces or hands engraved by their stories.
\nThe exhibition, which will take place in numerous galleries including Pompidou in Paris and London’s Mayfair, will be inaugurated in the presence of Lee Jeffries. On this occasion, he will sign the new ArtBook published by YellowKorner \u00e9ditions, Lost Angels, which brings together, on over 200 pages, the artist’s finest creations. <\/p>\n

An auction of LOS ANGELS prints will be held in early March, with part of the proceeds going to the L’un est L’autre association, whose patron is actress Isabelle Nanty.<\/strong><\/p>\n
