Today, we present Oelwein, a French brand that designs, manufactures and distributes
\ngraphic, playful and practical everyday objects. Founded in 2011, Oelwein aims to use a sustainable production process as much as possible.
\nThe choice of materials is very important: natural cotton, wood from eco-managed forests, recycled paper… Each product is carefully designed and produced using traditional printing techniques such as screen printing. <\/p>\n
The name “Oelwein” comes from the name of the designer’s grandmother, for whom it was important to inscribe the brand in an idea of continuity. The brand is available online and in a selection of 90 boutiques in France and abroad.
\nThe designer, S\u00e9verine Monson\u00e9go, was born in Paris. As part of her studies at the Arts D\u00e9coratifs, she studied illustration and met with craftsmen to explore manual printing processes such as serigraphy, engraving, linocut… Since 2005, she has been artistic director and illustrator for fashion and advertising, for brands such as Sonia Rykiel, Cartier, Perrier-Jou\u00ebt, Ben & Jerry’s… <\/p>\n
Designed in our Parisian atelier, the majority of Oelwein’s collections are printed and made in France.
\nThe brand’s universe is minimalist, uncluttered and playful, always with an obsession for pattern.
\nTimeless prints and graphics breathe lightness and cheerfulness into everyday life, and draw inspiration from a variety of influences: nature, geometry, typography, a strange object, a color palette…
\nWhile black and white predominates, it is often enhanced by a touch of fluo or pastel colors.<\/p>\n
Inspired by materials, the new items in this collection evoke drawing, painting and ink… Abstract patterns, marble, spray and polka dots adorn a new range of cushions, cases and notebooks. <\/p>\n\n\t\t
