At a time when entertainment is becoming increasingly dematerialized, Maison Grimaud is reinvesting the field of physical objects by drawing on national archives. An approach that places manual printing and the rigor of the cardboard maker at the heart of contemporary living. <\/p>\n\n

Paper memory<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Printer Baptiste-Paul Grimaud founded his Paris workshop in 1848.<\/sup><\/sup><\/sup><\/sup>. Since its relaunch in 2024, this historic Maison has been refocusing on the card game segment, with a precise technical objective: to enhance the value of the paper and manual printing trades.<\/sup><\/sup><\/sup><\/sup>. Today, this commitment to historical roots is reflected in an institutional dialogue with the Biblioth\u00e8que nationale de France, which preserves more than 40 million documents.<\/sup><\/sup><\/sup><\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n

The result of this collaboration is the reissue of the Louis XV game, first printed around 1895.<\/sup><\/sup><\/sup><\/sup><\/sup><\/sup><\/sup><\/sup>. Preserved in the collections of the BnF, this object features figures whose design is directly inspired by the Art Nouveau movement.<\/sup><\/sup><\/sup><\/sup><\/sup><\/sup><\/sup><\/sup><\/sup><\/sup><\/sup><\/sup><\/sup><\/sup><\/sup><\/sup>. This initiative goes beyond mere reproduction to promote the transmission of heritage and the excellence of French know-how.<\/sup><\/sup><\/sup><\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n

The material alternative<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Alongside this historic reissue, the Maison offers a contemporary approach to the container. A protective case, fashioned in coral-red apple leather, houses a classic bridge deck of 54 cards. <\/sup><\/sup><\/sup><\/sup>. This choice of organic material reflects an evolution in sourcing by traditional manufacturers, who are integrating responsible components into the design of their packaging and parts.<\/sup><\/sup><\/sup><\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n

The positioning of these creations is rigorously reflected in their distribution network. In addition to the Maison’s official website, the items are available at Bon March\u00e9 Rive Gauche, Printemps Haussmann, as well as in the boutiques of BnF, Ritz and Crillon. <\/sup><\/sup><\/sup><\/sup>.
