Luxury group LVMH recently announced its support for young fashion designers, offering \u20ac300,000 each year to a candidate who would also benefit from one year’s business development support. The jury, made up exclusively of LVMH’s top artistic directors, will have the onerous task of hunting out future talent. <\/p>\n

To take part in the LVMH Prize, a designer must be under 40 years of age and have produced and marketed at least two ready-to-wear collections for men or women. The lucky winner will be announced in May 2014. <\/p>\n

LVMH is going one step further by offering everyone the chance to become a “talent scout” and promote young designers who appeal to everyone. Photos can be posted and will appear on the LVMH Prize website, and the most successful scout, both in terms of activity and originality, will have the chance to win a trip to Fashion Week to visit the semi-finalists’ showroom, and to sit on the panel of experts who will select the ten finalists. <\/p>\n

To participate :<\/p>\n

– Post shots of designers you care about on Instagram, making sure your profile isn’t private and that you don’t change the size of the photo.<\/p>\n

– Enter the following hashtags: #LVMHPrize , the hashtag of the designer’s name and then those of his or her city and country. You’ll also need to mention whether the designer has an Instagram account. <\/p>\n
