Its manufacture in La C\u00f4te-aux-F\u00e9es has been developing and assembling timepieces since the very beginning, while its Geneva workshops, “Les Ateliers de l’Extraordinaire”, design exquisite cases, bracelets and settings to highlight the incredible mechanics that drive each timepiece. To assemble the exceptional Piaget Polo Emperador watches, Piaget’s watchmakers must possess a very high level of expertise and know-how. They begin with four years of study, before embarking on a second phase of training within Piaget, which also takes several years. Only then can the best students enter the Haute Horlogerie workshops, where they will be trained by the House’s master watchmakers and finally have the opportunity to create the Manufacture’s finest and most complex movements. Dressed in the finest diamonds and sublime blue sapphires thanks to their remarkable settings, these five exceptional Piaget Polo timepieces celebrate the Art of Movement, the Art of Light and the Art of Color. The deep blue of the sapphires is part of Piaget’s heritage and symbolizes for the House the notion of infinity. The motto “the sky is the limit” is perfectly suited to these timepieces, which demonstrate Piaget’s commitment to pushing back the boundaries of creativity in technology, design and setting. <\/p>\n
Just look at this Piaget Polo Emperador timepiece and you’ll plunge into an enchanting mechanical universe, featuring a finely skeletonized automatic flying tourbillon adorned with brilliant-cut diamonds on both sides of the movement. Creating this fascinating Piaget 1270D flying tourbillon in white gold and diamonds takes 10 times longer than creating a traditional flying tourbillon movement. Not only are the components heavier because of the diamond setting, but they have also been meticulously decorated and polished with the utmost mastery, making the assembly of the movement all the more complex for the watchmaker. In addition to its superb skeletonization, the calibre 1270D features a captivating off-center oscillating weight that has been inverted to reveal the micro-rotor on the dial side. With this micro-rotor set with a fan of baguette-cut blue sapphires, Piaget adds a playful touch to the moving parts visible on the front of the timepiece. The micro-rotor is also positioned opposite the P-shaped tourbillon cage, to create the shape of a lucky eight. A red thread in Piaget’s art of watchmaking, the figure eight is the only number that represents infinity with its endless shape. The number eight is also a symbol of prosperity, luck and joy in many cultures, making this exceptional watch much more than just a timepiece. Housed in a 49 mm white gold case, the Piaget Polo Emperador Haute Joaillerie with alligator strap is entirely set with 10.66 carat diamonds and 14.63 carat baguette-cut blue sapphires on the bezel and micro-rotor. The setting of the case alone represents 139 hours of work, and the fragility of the blue sapphires makes the task all the more arduous. The word “sapphire” comes from the Hebrew sappir, meaning “the most beautiful thing”. Its most legendary color is its deep, fascinating blue. Sapphires symbolize loyalty, fidelity, love and desire through their intense, vibrant and totally natural color. This limited-edition timepiece is water-resistant to 30 meters and comes with an elegant blue alligator strap. <\/p>\n

Piaget Polo Emperador Haute Joaillerie with fully diamond-paved bracelet <\/strong><\/p>\n This unique timepiece is a true demonstration of Piaget’s dual expertise in watchmaking and jewelry. Featuring the same rare, skeletonized, diamond-set movement as the Piaget Polo Emperador Haute Joaillerie with alligator strap shown above, this breathtaking creation comes with a diamond and blue sapphire bracelet. Piaget chooses only white diamonds with a color superior to “F” (the letters D, E and F correspond to the highest quality) and a clarity greater than or equal to “VVS”, meaning that no inclusions are visible to the naked eye. Diamonds of this quality are extremely rare and demonstrate Piaget’s commitment to creating timepieces where the sky is the limit in terms of quality and beauty. The Piaget Polo Emperador Haute Joaillerie features a bracelet entirely paved with diamonds and a 49 mm white gold case. It is entirely set with 29.49-carat diamonds and 20.84-carat baguette-cut blue sapphires on the bezel, micro-rotor and bracelet. Setting this unique timepiece required 344 hours of work by the most experienced gem setters at Piaget’s Ateliers de l’Extraordinaire. <\/p>\n Piaget Polo Tourbillon Relatif La Piaget Polo Tourbillon Relatif<\/strong><\/p>\n Unique combines the Maison’s hand-wound Tourbillon Relatif 608P movement with a 47 mm case, white gold dial and bracelet, entirely set with diamonds. Piaget’s incredible artistry is revealed through more than 1,300 baguette-cut and brilliant-cut diamonds (approx. 50.50 carats). Even the crown is adorned with an inverted sapphire for the ultimate touch of refinement. The dial is made of aventurine glass and adorned with snow-set diamonds and gold stars for the hour markers, to reflect the mystery and magic of a starry night sky. The creation of the Tourbillon Relatif 608P movement defies the laws of gravity and balance, with its tourbillon suspended on a single axis and the tip of the minute hand perfectly balanced on the opposite side. Beating just above the dial, the flying tourbillon’s mobile cage seems almost independent of the movement. The minute hand must be adjusted and decorated with the utmost precision to weigh exactly the same as the flying tourbillon at the other end, to ensure perfect balance. The flying tourbillon cage is also ultra-flat and ultra-light (2.8 mm in diameter and 0.2 g for the three titanium bridges). It rotates once a minute on itself and once an hour around the dial. Piaget is one of the few watchmakers to use this unique and revolutionary construction. Due to the extreme complexity of this movement, Piaget only produces between one and three movements per year, adding to the rarity of this exceptional one-off. <\/p>\n Piaget Polo Emperador – Skeleton tourbillon <\/strong><\/p>\n To complete this magnificent range of exceptional timepieces, Piaget also unveils two new Piaget Polo Emperador timepieces: one in white gold and the other in rose gold. They are powered by Piaget’s caliber 1270S, one of the flattest self-winding skeletonized tourbillons developed and manufactured in Piaget’s workshops. The movement features an extra-flat micro-rotor in sunray platinum, delicately tinted and adorned with the Piaget coat of arms on the dial side. The rose gold version is particularly remarkable as it is also driven by a hand-decorated gold movement, which has been worked to the highest watchmaking standards with hand-bevelling, mirror polishing, guilloch\u00e9 and polishing of the inner and outer angles. The masterful decoration of this sublime gold movement requires 120 hours of work. Piaget Polo Emperador timepieces feature a 46.5 mm x 8.9 mm case and a bezel set with 1.39 carats of brilliant-cut diamonds. Water-resistant to 30 meters, they come with elegant alligator straps: black for the white gold version and blue for the rose gold version.
