Cow Parade<\/a>, the famous exhibition of life-size artist cows, is back in France. Some 40 cows will graze at the Jardin de l’Acclimatation, 35 in Deauville and 45 in Cannes. <\/p>\n

These brave cows have already visited over 80 cities worldwide, including New York, Rio de Janeiro, Tokyo, London and Shanghai.<\/p>\n

This cheerful, colorful herd is one of the world’s biggest urban art events. They returned to France on June 20 with a new concept: transhumance. For five and a half months, the Cow Parade Transhumance will drive an artistic herd of some twenty cows between Paris, Deauville and Cannes. This grouping of artists’ cows, initiated in Zurich by sculptor Pascal Knapp, has always been a huge success everywhere. France is certainly no exception. <\/p>\n

Since 1998, in every country and every town, artists from all walks of life (painters, sculptors, stylists, graphic designers, advertisers), both well-known and lesser-known, have been decorating cows, turning them into works of art! Each cow is sponsored by a company, institution, association or organization that chooses an artist’s project. No two cows are alike! <\/p>\n\n\t\t
