In spring 2014, Maison R\u00e9my Martin will hold an induction ceremony to pay tribute to Pierrette Trichet and officially welcome Baptiste Loiseau to his new role.<\/p>\n
After 38 years with the company, Pierrette Trichet has decided to hand over the reins to Baptiste Loiseau, to whom she has passed on her expertise. Pierrette Trichet left a strong imprint on the company. She joined the Research and Study Laboratory in 1976, and in 2003 became the first woman Cellar Master of a major cognac house. Recognized as an exceptional nose for the selection of eaux-de-vie and for her creative audacity, she is also a great lady of discretion, frankness and generosity. <\/b><\/p>\n
Born in Cognac, Baptiste Loiseau, an agricultural engineer and oenologist, joined the company in 2007. He’s an insatiable curiosity driven by his desire to learn, and a totally committed enthusiast. <\/b>Pierrette Trichet immediately recognized in him the qualities of a future Ma\u00eetre de Chai. Close to the viticulture and very accurate in his expertise in tasting Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne eaux-de-vie and cognacs, he will be the guarantor of the Maison R\u00e9my Martin style. <\/b> <\/p>\n
Maison R\u00e9my Martin is constantly striving for perfection, and the Ma\u00eetre de Chai is its conductor. It is in this spirit that Baptiste Loiseau will join an extraordinary line of Ma\u00eetres de Chai, initiated by R\u00e9my Martin in 1724, and continued by his successors. He will join the quartet that has made the House great for a century: Andr\u00e9 Renaud, Andr\u00e9 Giraud, Georges Clot and Pierrette Trichet. <\/b><\/p>\n\n\t\t
