To celebrate Father’s Day, La Maison R\u00e9my Martin and Atelier Steaven Richard<\/strong> have worked together to reinterpret the emblematic symbol of the Maison R\u00e9my Martin through a unique work: the iconic XO decanter and its box.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Maison R\u00e9my Martin and Atelier Steaven Richard both hold the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (Living Heritage Company) label, a mark of recognition established by the French government, which distinguishes French companies with outstanding craftsmanship and industrial know-how. The latter is one of the starting points for a collaboration in which Steaven Richard reinterprets the centaur, symbol of R\u00e9my Martin, by creating a unique work whose verticality evokes the vines of the House’s estates. <\/p>\n

This same inspiration has given birth to the R\u00e9my Martin XO x Steaven Richard limited edition: the iconic XO decanter and its box reinterpreted by the wrought-iron artist.<\/p>\n

R\u00e9my Martin is the only major Cognac house founded by a winegrower, and the originator of the “Alliance Fine Champagne” wine cooperative in the Cognac region.

Steaven Richard is a creative metalworker. He opened his Atelier in Paris in 2001, where he experiments and innovates, surrounded by his team.
\nThe combination of his traditional know-how and contemporary digital techniques has led to the evolution of his practice, giving rise to large-scale aesthetic projects. Using specific techniques, he transforms materials, giving them a whole new dimension: they become imbued with the organic world thanks to woody or vegetal effects, while textile motifs dress brass and iron. His mastery of these processes creates an infinite palette of textures, patterns and colors. <\/p>\n

R\u00e9my Martin XO is a symbol of patience and talent. A Fine Champagne cognac made from a selection of eaux-de-vie sourced exclusively from Grande and Petite Champagne, renowned for their exceptional ageing potential. A heritage rooted in respect for the power of time. <\/p>\n

These qualities give the eaux-de-vie their intense generosity: today, the company boasts the world’s largest reserve of Fine Champagne Cognac.<\/p>\n

The XO decanter reveals the harmonious contrasts of this mysterious, complex and delicate cognac. The aromas of ripe plum and fig mingle with those of candied orange, hazelnut and a hint of cinnamon, for exceptional smoothness and length on the palate. <\/p>\n

R\u00e9my Martin wanted to associate the world of cognac and its iconic decanter with the world of an extraordinary artist. Steaven Richard invented a method of embossing brass: a unique golden texture, echoing the R\u00e9my Martin XO motif, giving the decanter a new reflection: Steaven Richard’s work, created for XO in his workshop, was conceived as a true work of art. <\/p>\n

“I was inspired by R\u00e9my Martin’s age-old bond with the soil, his love of nature, and something unique emerged, like a revelation: from the verticality of the vines rising towards the sky, was born this piece reaching for the stars,” explains Steaven Richard.<\/p>\n

Through an anamorphosis, the artist unveils R\u00e9my Martin’s centaur.
