November 8, 2021<\/strong>: feedback from the Filles de la Photo <\/em> gender diversity observatory <\/p>\n

November 11 to 14<\/strong>: Elles X Paris Photo 2021<\/em> tour, with a day of conversations on November 12, presented by tour curator Nathalie Herschdorfer.<\/p>\n

Until January 16<\/strong>: Vivian Maier retrospective at the Mus\u00e9e du Luxembourg Through this support, Women In Motion is reinforcing its commitment to women photographers, helping to change mentalities, salute outstanding personalities, and reflect on the place and recognition accorded to women in photography, and more broadly in the arts and culture.<\/p>\n

November 8, 2021: restitution of the Observatoire de la mixit\u00e9 Femmes\/ hommes des Filles de la Photo<\/em> <\/strong>
\nIn partnership with the Observatoire des Filles de la Photo<\/em>, Kering is supporting the second edition of the study on gender diversity in the photography ecosystem, which will be presented on November 8 at 7:15pm at Sciences Po Paris.
\nIn 2019, the association Les Filles de la Photo<\/em> created the Observatoire de la Mixit\u00e9 Femmes\/Hommes dans la Photographie, under the impetus of Florence Moll and Chantal Nedjib with the support of the French Ministry of Culture. The results of the 1st edition were presented in 2020 at the \u00c9cole des Beaux-Arts, with the support of Women In Motion<\/em>. Targeted actions, widely recognized, were put in place (T\u00eate-\u00e0-T\u00eate, Mentoring, Best practices in selection processes) based on these initial lessons. In 2021, Les Filles de la Photo<\/em> has launched the 2nd edition of its Observatory on the place of women in the world of photography, to continue to advance the debate on gender diversity in photography. <\/p>\n

November 11 to 14: Elles X Paris Photo 2021 <\/em> itinerary<\/strong>
\nKering is delighted to partner Paris Photo once again, supporting the fair’s itinerary for the second year running, as well as its digital version on the website ellesxparisphoto.com<\/a><\/strong>. This trail, run since 2018 at the initiative of the French Ministry of Culture, aims to work towards better representation and recognition of women photographers and encourages galleries present at Paris Photo to further promote the work of their women artists to collectors and institutions. Since its inception, this program has seen a significant increase in the number of women exhibiting at the fair: from 20% in 2018, their presence is set to rise to 32% by 2021.
\nNathalie Herschdorfer, an art historian specializing in the history of photography and Director of the Mus\u00e9e du Locle in Switzerland, and curator of this year’s exhibition, presents a selection of thirty works chosen from among the artists in the galleries: a proposal articulated around the history of photography, from 1851 to 2021, from the English botanist and pioneer Anna Atkins, through Dora Maar, ORLAN, or the self-taught Mame-Diarra Niang, who develops a body of work between France and Africa.
\nAs part of this partnership, Kering is also supporting the November 12 conversation day organized and presented by Nathalie Herschdorfer at the Grand Palais Eph\u00e9m\u00e8re.<\/p>\n

Until January 16, 2022: Vivian Maier retrospective at the Mus\u00e9e du Luxembourg <\/strong>
\nWomen In Motion<\/em> is also supporting the Vivian Maier retrospective at the Mus\u00e9e du Luxembourg until January 16, 2022. Comprising 9 sections and 270 black & white and color prints, this exhibition, conceived by curator Anne Morin, reveals the full complexity and variety of the work and aesthetic of Vivian Maier, one of the greatest photographers of the 20th century, whose work was discovered posthumously at the turn of the 21st century.
