Produced on a dozen different terroirs, located on the right and left banks of the Serein, Chablis Premiers Crus allow you to discover and understand the great Kimmeridgian terroirs of Chablis. Produced from vines planted on slopes with good south-west and south-east exposure, they all have their own personality, making each one a unique wine. Chablis Premiers Crus are at their best six to eight years after harvest. <\/h5>\n
Chablis Premier Cru C\u00f4te de L\u00e9chet 2012 is a sunny, airy wine. Made from 100% Chardonnay, this wine grows on clay-limestone terroir with vines averaging 25 years old. The southeast-facing vineyard is located on the left bank of the river “Le Serein”, near the towns of Milly and Chablis. <\/h5>\n
It underwent static cold settling before fermentation. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentations took place in vats and barrels, and the wine was aged on fine lees for 12 months. <\/h5>\n
The 2012 Chablis Premier Cru C\u00f4te De L\u00e9chet is a brilliant pale color. Its nose of white flowers develops a beautiful feminine elegance, evolving after aeration towards minerality. The palate is surprisingly generous and greedy. But the nature of C\u00f4te de L\u00e9chet’s soil quickly takes its place, displaying a frank, chalky minerality typical of the Kimmeridgien. This well-balanced wine shows great freshness, leaving notes of minty greenness on the palate. All it needs is to reveal itself in the years to come. <\/h5>\n
