Nestled between the hills of Pavie and Ausone, Ch\u00e2teau La Gaffeli\u00e8re&#8217;s vineyards cover 38 hectares in production, with an average vine age of 35 years and an average yield of 31 hl\/ha. The south-facing plots are spread over the three terroirs specific to Saint-Emilion: the limestone plateau, the clay-limestone hillside and the siliceous foot of the hillside.  <\/p>\n<p>Over the past fifteen years, numerous investments have been made, notably the repositioning of the vineyard begun in 2001 and the construction of a new vat room, inaugurated in 2013, which enables precise parcel-based vini\ufb01cation. La Gaffeli\u00e8re&#8217;s farming practices are in line with a sustainable agriculture approach. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-324720\" src=\"https:\/\/www.luxsure.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/La-Gaffeli%C3%A8re-2016-Bouteille-382x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"382\" height=\"1024\"\/><\/p>\n<p>La Gaffeli\u00e8re 2016 is a blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc. The wine has a very dark, deep color. The nose is highly aromatic, evoking black fruits.
