Chamonix Mont-Blanc, in the heart of the Alps, is the place to be. On December 1, 2017, H\u00f4tel H\u00e9liopic**** Sweet & Spa reopened for the winter season with a brand new design for its restaurant, where elegance and conviviality meet around the table. <\/p>\n

AKASHON<\/strong><\/p>\n

New name, new ambience: “the restaurant honors its origins by taking its name from a Savoyard expression meaning
\n by surprise<\/em>
\n<\/strong>. <\/em>Nestled in the heart of the hotel, AKASHON <\/strong>is an invitation to embark on a surprising journey of the senses,” explains Romain Trollet, CEO of ASSAS Hotels.<\/p>\n

In terms of decor,<\/strong> the space has been completely redesigned by interior designers Anna Leymergie and Lancelot Letellier of OTSO Studio. Inspired by the region’s industrial past, they combined raw materials with softer ones. <\/p>\n

Anna Leymerie and Lancelot Letellier met in 2012 and founded OTSO Studio in 2015. It was during a collaboration with a two-starred chef that the agency saw the light of day. From then on, their approach to projects has been global, from the building to the furniture. <\/p>\n

Both manual workers, they strive to develop their ideas through experimentation in their workshop, the misappropriation of materials and the borrowing of craft skills.<\/p>\n

The desire to renew themselves and offer something unexpected led to the diversification of their projects. Hotel, restaurant, hair salon, microbrewery, they are also developing a range of furniture. <\/p>\n

In the kitchen,<\/strong> the creative and discreet Chef Julien Binet has been officiating since the hotel opened in 2013. Formerly of the Albert 1er restaurant (2 Michelin stars), he is a young chef with a passion for authentic cuisine, which he showcased at the “Caf\u00e9 de l’Arve” for three years, earning him a Bib Gourmand. <\/p>\n

With enthusiasm and passion, Julien Binet works with a selection of seasonal products, enabling him to offer recipes with the flavors of the mountains. Thanks to his know-how, each guest experiences a moment out of time. <\/p>\n
