Located on rue d’Astorg in Paris’s 8th arrondissement, Pierre Meneau’s Crom’Exquis offers refined, surprising cuisine.<\/h4>\n

It was with some enthusiasm that I went to Crom’Exquis a few weeks ago. I had already been there a few years ago and had rather fond memories of it. The place closed its doors for several months following a fire<\/a> and has now been given a facelift. The restaurant is well worth a visit for the cuisine orchestrated by chef Pierre Meneau<\/strong>, son of the famous Michelin-starred chef Marc Meneau and trained in the excellence of French cuisine. He’s truly an atypical chef, cultured and rough around the edges. A very endearing man. A true enthusiast! <\/h5>\n
The Crom’Exquis menu offers a gourmet selection of cromesquis, the famous bite-sized morsels that inspired the restaurant’s name. They must be eaten in a single bite. There are also creative dishes made with the finest seasonal produce, scrupulously selected by the chef for their freshness and authentic flavors. The beef tartar with caviar is a delight. <\/h5>\n

The setting reflects the restaurant’s menu: refined and meticulous. The deliberately retro vermilion banquettes sit naturally alongside contemporary and modern furniture by French designers and artists. The atmosphere in the dining room is very pleasant. <\/h5>\n

At lunchtime, enjoy a menu for under 40 euros, ideal for a business lunch or a break from shopping on the Grands Boulevards. In the evening, the atmosphere is more intimate, although the dishes lose none of their boldness and creativity.
