For many years, Diplom\u00e1tico has cultivated a unique know-how in the elaboration of its rums, combining technology, craftsmanship and tradition. This year, the brand has stepped up its premiumization drive and is pursuing its intention with the launch of the limited edition Distillery Collection<\/strong>.
\nThis collection, which showcases Diplom\u00e1tico’s distillation expertise, draws on the personality of each rum to offer an exceptional tasting experience.
\nTwo new bottles have been added to Diplom\u00e1tico’s Tradition and Prestige ranges:
\nthe N\u00b01, Rhum Batch Kettle
\nthe N\u00b02, Rhum Barbet
\nThese golden, intense, subtle and fragrant rums can both be drunk neat, and will appeal to the most discerning aficionados! <\/p>\n

No. 1, Batch Kettle Rum\"\"<\/a><\/h2>\n

Rum N\u00b01 is made from the finest
\nsugar cane honeys and aged in American white oak barrels previously used to age bourbon and scotch.<\/p>\n

Its delicate aromas are obtained using a semi-artisanal, discontinuous distillation method originating in Canada, known as Batch Kettle, which was used to make American whisky. The result is a complex, medium-bodied rum. <\/p>\n

Gradually distilled in the Batch Kettle’s column and controlled by the master rum-maker, the liquid gains in finesse and freshness.<\/p>\n

Rum N\u00b01 is the sweeter of the two. It presents notes of vanilla and sweet, fruity aromas such as cherry and strawberry, with hints of banana. Its elegance is echoed on the palate, where delicate wood tannins are enriched by notes of toasted caramel and ripe red fruit aromas, giving way to a long, complex finish. <\/p>\n

N\u00b02, Rhum Barbet\"\"<\/a><\/h2>\n

Made from carefully selected sugarcane molasses, N\u00b02 rum is distilled in a French Barbet column.<\/p>\n

Made from 100% copper, the Barbet column separates and eliminates the sulfur compounds that alter rum’s sensory properties. This distillation system produces a highly specific, resolutely fruity rum profile. <\/p>\n

Aged to optimum maturity in American white oak barrels, N\u00b02 rum will appeal to lovers of smooth, dry spirits.<\/p>\n

This rum reveals tropical fruit aromas and woody notes, offering a distinctive bouquet. Slightly dry on tasting, delicate woody notes and fresh citrus aromas combine for a long, lingering finish. <\/p>\n
