To mark its 25th anniversary, Saint-Andr\u00e9 de Figui\u00e8re is giving itself a makeover! Renamed Figui\u00e8re, the estate is making Premi\u00e8re its iconic cuv\u00e9e for summer 2017. In a uniquely designed bottle, this ros\u00e9 wine is a true artistic feat and has become the symbol of the new-generation Figui\u00e8re style. <\/h5>\n
Born from the marriage of Burgundy and Provence, FIGUI\u00c8RE’s sober, racy style draws its strength, natural elegance and minerality from an astonishing schist terroir. Pared-down, sincere, no-make-up winemaking contributes to the production of taut wines, combining power and finesse, balance and aromatic richness.
\nPremi\u00e8re is a ros\u00e9 wine that surprises with its pure, mineral style and seduces with its deep, long, dense aromatic richness. In this way, the domaine has chosen a subtle, universal and timeless style that appeals to wine lovers and connoisseurs alike. <\/h5>\n
For its new vintage, the estate is offering its Cuv\u00e9e Premi\u00e8re a new bottle with sleek, fluid lines. Italian glassmaker Italesse is coordinating the creation of this iconic new bottle, in collaboration with designer Luca Trazzi and traditional glassmakers. Blown in extra-white glass to highlight the wine’s color, and stamped with a discreet “FIGUI\u00c8RE” at the base, this container is a true technical achievement hidden behind the apparent simplicity of its line. <\/h5>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Produced organically, Premi\u00e8re is a ros\u00e9 in all its delicacy, with a beautiful pale pink color tinged with gray. The nose is beautifully fruity, with notes of pineapple, apricot, nectarine and lychee, accompanied by herbes de Provence, pepper and nutmeg. The palate is full-bodied and crisp, with strawberry and pepper dominating the aromas. The finish is harmonious, fine and very long, with spices and a saline note.
\nThis ros\u00e9 should be served between 8 and 10\u00b0 with elegant aperitifs, shellfish or noble seafood, raw fish or spicy dishes. Premi\u00e8re also goes well with cheeses such as Saint-Marcellin or Beaufort. <\/h5>\n
