In December, the Luxsure editorial team was invited to the presentation of Jean Paul Lefret’s photographs.<\/p>\n

A graduate of the \u00c9cole Nationale de Photographie Louis Lumi\u00e8re in Paris, Jean Paul Lefret delivers a clear-cut vision of the evolution of our world. Cutting-edge technologies, excessive skyfalls, it’s a race towards progress that offers considerable advances in fields useful to the betterment of mankind. Everything’s moving fast, without brakes… But at what price…?
\nWhen these archangels leave the Elys\u00e9e Palace to witness man’s misdeeds, time seems to stand still.<\/p>\n

This series of photographs by Jean Paul Lefret depicts young girls whose purity and innocence mitigate what he sees as frenetic human expansion. As an idol, the light emanating from these youthful bodies brings a glimmer of hope. It’s a revealing sign of a humanity that’s tending to disappear in favor of an evolution that can’t be slowed down. <\/p>\n

The choice of infantile feminine representations placed at the heart of significant places echoes the religious figures of Catholicism who intervene to bring comfort. These multiplied religious connotations are not an incitement to religious practice, but a desire to awaken consciences to facts unfolding before our very eyes. And Jean Paul Lefret translates this idea brilliantly. <\/p>\n
