Fashion Week is a busy week. You have to follow the catwalks of the major fashion houses, scrutinize the looks of the models, unearth the season’s key accessories and observe the make-up trends. In the midst of this whirlwind, established and sensational names leave little room for new talent. And yet the shows on the bangs of the big machinery are not without interest. <\/p>\n

Many start out, many try their luck. When you manage to get scheduled for Paris Fashion Week, it’s the first step towards success. For this first show, the Vassilly fashion house proposed a predominantly white silhouette. A successful christening. <\/p>\n

Jaehwan Lee founded Vassilly at the end of 2007. After working as an intern at Dior and winning the Dinard prize for his collection “Flashback sur le r\u00eave des filles”, he became the creative representative for his native Seoul. Inspired by “French” codes of femininity, Jaehwan Lee strives to recreate the essence of classic elegance, which he links to surrealism. <\/span><\/p>\n

Blending classic codes with more modern graphics, the brand’s airy collection consists mainly of dresses. Laces, transparencies and cut-outs in the back for a charm that reveals itself with modesty. The cocktail dress has been revised. <\/p>\n

It’s the figure of the Parisienne who has given impetus to this collection. A legendary, enigmatic and inimitable figure. Like her, Vassilly seems to combine classic code and modernity. No outrageousness or vulgarity: it’s all about suggestion. In muslins and silks, combined with more rigid materials, the Vassilly collection is one of those things whose simple charm leaves you dreaming. <\/p>\n
