For this new spring-summer 2014 collection, Dior artistic director Kris Van Assche drew his inspiration from an old English classic poem “Follow Thy Fair Sun” by Thomas Campion, and more specifically from this line “The sun must have his shade” \/ “Le soleil doit avoir sa part d’ombre” \/ “The sun must have its share of shade” and so must men. A collection cradled by this prose and more generally by the distinctive aesthetic of the 80s, a decade that saw the advent of sportswear. These creations also feature <\/span>inspired by the famous Mondrian rectangles so dear to fashion. <\/span><\/p>\n

Kris Van Assche offers us a collection with a very marked streetwear style, all in a small range of colors. We find <\/span> blue, eggplant, beige and black. Very few colors, and a play of nuances that allows us to appreciate the geometric shapes and inspirations that become all the more evident. Van Assche doesn’t skimp on detail. <\/span>he heels of the shoes are all covered in metal, reminiscent of basketball soles, a clear testament to the evolution of the House of Dior men in the hands of the Belgian designer, who has injected a dose of modernity and realism. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\t\t
