The International Klein Blue Collection<\/span> was born of a meeting between the designers of Etnia Barcelona and Yves Klein Archives, represented by L’h\u00e9ritier d’Yves Klein, at the brand’s Barcelona offices. <\/span> Since its creation, Etnia Barcelona has embraced color as a means of expression. Today, the brand is a pioneer in the development and study of color. The brand’s chromatic play has become the central axis of its collections and communications. <\/span> <\/em><\/p>\n

This collection, created in collaboration with the archives bequeathed by the artist Yves Klein, features “Bleu Klein” on several frames. <\/span>The color Bleu Klein has been used in the fashion industry for decades, but for the first time Yves Klein Archives, represented by Yves Klein’s heir, has authorized a brand to use the color patented by the artist. Etnia Barcelona has created a collection of vintage-style eyewear, with soft shapes, lots of style and personality, to offer a product that is both elegant and daring. <\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

The Kyoto frame<\/p><\/div>\n

The lenses in this collection are made by Barberini. They are high-quality mineral lenses, whose mirror effect gives these glasses a retro look. The acetate used for the frames comes from cotton and is entirely natural. <\/span>The royalties from this collection will be donated to the NGO Orphanaid, a non-profit organization that implements programs and projects to help orphaned children and families in Ghana, West Africa.<\/span> <\/em><\/p>\n
