Tom Hanks and Ron Howard will once again adapt a work by Dan Brown. It will be the novel “Inferno”, published this spring. <\/p>\n

After bringing “The Da Vinci Code” (2006) and “Angels and Demons” (2009) to the screen, the “Forrest Gump” actor and “Apollo 13” director will be following up the saga centered around the character of Robert Langdon, an expert in deciphering symbols of all kinds.<\/p>\n

However, “Inferno” is not a direct sequel to “Angels and Demons”, as it is the fourth opus in the saga. An adaptation of “The Lost Symbol”, the third novel in the Langdon series, was planned for early 2010, but never materialized. <\/p>\n

At the start of “Inferno”, the hero wakes up in a hospital in Florence, a victim of amnesia. He finds himself confronted with a case of eugenics linked to “The Divine Comedy”, which leads him to decode “Inferno”, the first part of Dante Alighieri’s famous text.
