Les Paillotes des Etangs de Corot revisit the atypical terraces of the early 20th century, forming a guinguette originally built on stilts. With a sublime view over the ponds that so inspired the Impressionist painters, including Jean-Baptiste Camille Corot. <\/span><\/p>\n

The chef is R\u00e9mi Chambard. The relatively limited choice on the menu makes it hard to make up one’s mind. For starters, we hesitate between Foie Gras, pea and mint gazpacho… In the end, we opt for a “Burrata” with olive oil and eggplant caviar. A happy marriage with truly milky mozzarella. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

For the main course, choose a fillet of beef with Anna apples. Accompanied by a glass of Hauts de Smith, the food\/wine pairing is perfect. The only (small) disappointment was the dessert: the strawberries with Isigny cream and cookies didn’t charm us.

As an added bonus, a children’s club offers creative workshops and board games for 4-12 year-olds.<\/span>
\nLes Etangs de Corot also offers a chic picnic to take under the arm or by bike, through the forest or to the gardens of Versailles.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
