Burberry Prorsum<\/strong>, after 10 years of showing its men’s collections in Milan, created quite a stir when it announced last February that its shows would henceforth be held in London. In an effort to promote the London Collections Mens as well as a genuine desire on the part of the brand to return to its roots, it was in Kensington Gardens in a very “English garden party” setting that Christopher Bailey presented his menswear collection for the forward-thinking British house. <\/p>\n

Named “writers and painters”, this Burberry collection plays with color while preserving Burberry’s classic shapes. It’s a line that pays tribute to Burberry’s signature pieces while injecting them with Christopher Bailey’s characteristic dose of modernity. However, unlike past seasons, there’s no overly fanciful use of shapes here, and color and pattern are given pride of place. <\/p>\n

Relaxation and English phlegm are the hallmarks of Burberry’s Spring Summer season. The abundance of colors inspires color blocking, which is present on all outfits. Last season, hearts, leopard and zebra prints were the order of the day. This season, polka dots and stripes are the order of the day. We also love the “pouches” that accompanied each look. <\/p>\n

The cast included Rutger Schoone, Demy Matzen, Benjamin Allen, Arthur Gosse and Charlie France, the face of the campaign.<\/p>\n\n\t\t
