Troy Henriksen is a Norwegian-born American visual artist. His optimistic style, close to free figuration, plunges us into dreams. His canvases and works on Plexiglas reflect an imagination nourished by memories and aspirations. His work oscillates between tangible realities. Cities. Cars. Personalities: Marilyn, Rimbaud, Sitting Bull, Gandhi, James Dean and more. Allegories: hearts, or these same personalities, each a symbol in their own way. What they have in common is the brilliance of color, which makes life so much more joyful. Troy rightly notes that, like all children, colors attracted him, but unlike others, he still remembers them. Color shines through his canvases, giving them depth. <\/p>\n
