That&#8217;s what a couple of young American expatriates have decided to propose. Enjoy your picnic. <\/p>\n<p>So yes, we&#8217;ll say it right up front: when all the French foodies in Paris are importing burgers, hot dogs, cupcakes and other US-oriented delights, it&#8217;s really three pure American products that are now offering us the chance to rediscover the true Parisian picnic experience!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Arriving directly from Washington DC at the beginning of 2012 for professional reasons, the couple Patrick \/ Katya and their friend Daniel literally fell in love (or almost) with this special moment of sharing that a picnic in Paris represents. They experience their adopted city through the prism of picnics, in parks, on bridges or riverbanks, just about everywhere &#8211; and find they&#8217;re not the only ones! After all, a picnic, they say, is also a fun and inexpensive way to get together with friends, simply and without any fuss.<br \/>\nAnd then there&#8217;s the history&#8230; and the art! Picnics have a strong tradition in France. The couple fell in love with the social object of the picnic&#8230; to the point where, one day, they came up with the not-so-crazy idea of making a living out of it. Because then again, wouldn&#8217;t the moment be even more perfect if you could simply transport yourself to the Buttes Chaumont or<br \/>\nLuxembourg without going to the grocery store? Whether you&#8217;re a true Parisian or a tourist passing through the City of Light, if you improvise a picnic, if you don&#8217;t plan ahead, you&#8217;re potentially going to encounter quite a few difficulties&#8230; and in fact, you might not eat so well!      <\/p>\n<p>This is how the &#8220;Paris Picnic&#8221; concept gradually found its way into the minds of our young Yankees.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Three picnic formulas<\/strong> are currently on offer:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Le Classique<\/strong>: A bottle of wine, a crusty baguette, mineral water<br \/>\n. A selection of French cheeses and charcuterie, salad<br \/>\nof the day (e.g. carrot-ginger),<br \/>\nsome of the day&#8217;s market produce + homemade potato chips, dessert.<br \/>\nPicnic for 2: \u20ac55 \/ +8 euros for a grand cru \/<br \/>\n+13 euros with Champagne <\/p>\n<p><strong>Le Chic<\/strong>: a more chic version of Le Classique, including<br \/>\nchampagne, foie gras, macaroons and other refined French<br \/>\nspecialties! Picnic for 2: 85 \u20ac (including a<br \/>\nbottle of champagne). <\/p>\n<p><strong>Le Bonbon<\/strong>: a sweet picnic! With champagne, fresh fruit, fine chocolates and a selection<br \/>\nof pastries.
