Acne studio pays tribute to the paintings of artist Hilma af Klint with a capsule collection inspired by the artist’s best-known canvases.
\nThe spring : summer 2014 capsule collection consists of colorful men’s and women’s pieces offering, sweatshirts, t-shirts , jersey and small textile accessories .
\nAccording to Jonny Johansson, Artistic Director of Acne Studio: “Anyone discovering the world of Hilma af Klint cannot remain insensitive to the depth of her vision and the chromatic palette that characterizes her work. The fact that she was also an artist ignored by art history and only recently recognized as one of the precursors of the abstract movement only adds to my fascination with her. I am very honoured to have been able to obtain permission from the Hilma af Klint Foundation to create a small collection based on some of her major works”.<\/p>\n

Acne Studios is very much involved in fashion, but not only. The brand’s universe is vast: design, advertising, film, music and painting all inspire the brand. Modern, even futuristic, Acne Studio makes its mark with shapes, prints and colors. <\/p>\n

The brand loves to play with colors, and proves it once again with this chic, modern, polychrome collaboration ideal for trendy urbanites.<\/p>\n

This early 20th-century Swedish artist was belatedly recognized as a precursor of abstract art, far ahead of Kadinsky, Mondrian and Malevich. Her works are essentially devoted to the “Temple”, but also to religious and botanical concepts, as well as scientific phenomena. <\/p>\n
