Pol Roger Brut Blanc de Blancs 2002: the virtuoso!<\/p>\n

Since 1849, Pol Roger, the founder of Champagne Pol Roger, has established the tradition of only vintaging when the weather conditions are right to produce grapes of great ripeness. That’s where the House’s exceptional reputation comes from!A vintage Champagne is above all a well-balanced wine. This balance combines a good balance between potential alcohol and sufficient freshness. The first criterion for vintage wines is their ageing potential, justified by a sufficiently high level of acidity, as well as their balance on the palate. With the help of time, vintage Champagne will deliver the innumerable riches that nature has bestowed upon it.
\n\ufffc\"Blanc<\/a><\/p>\n

On tasting, the wine is pale yellow with greenish-gold reflections, crystal-clear. Very fine bubbles form an abundant, persistent mousse. The first notes on the nose are light citrus scents (peel). They herald the wine’s elegance, finesse and balance. This is followed by aromas of small yellow stone fruits (mirabelle plum, greengage), fresh quince and white flowers (lime blossom).
\nOn the palate, the texture is fresh, taut with a mineral tone (gunflint) giving it a solid taste structure. Subtle brioche and suave notes intermingle in perfect balance and graceful harmony. The finish is combined with exceptional length, the hallmark of the sunny, generous 2002 vintage.
