“I really like what you do”

\nIt’s a play of exceptional longevity: over 3,000 performances and 1 million spectators. This comedy is almost an institution. In fact, the poster became familiar to me as I roamed the corridors of the metro. Yet I’d never seen the play. Well, I took the plunge.
\nSo is this comedy really worth the detour?So off we go to the Palais des Glaces on a Tuesday to catch the 9pm show. The pitch: Pierre and Marie are on their way to visit their friends, Charles and Carole, who have been living in the country for the past six months. On the way, they indulge in their favorite sport: slut-shaming, and don’t mince their words about their hosts. A small but annoying detail: Pierre’s cell phone, badly locked, accidentally calls the latter, who hear live what their best friends think of them!
\nThe mechanics work perfectly. The situation is truly jubilant for the spectator, and the dialogues are really tasty. Human foibles are made a mockery of. The quartet of actors is very good, with a special mention for the scatterbrained “blonde”.
\nAll in all, a good boulevard play that never gets boring.<\/p>\n
