Tuesday evening, at the Pavillon Cambon<\/a> in Paris, the Marie Claire Awards for Excellence in Beauty.<\/strong><\/a>. “Highly anticipated, they are now a global benchmark in the world of beauty.” <\/p>\n

For 27 years<\/strong> now, the magazine has been selecting the best skincare products on the market, from the big names as well as more modest but nonetheless creative brands…<\/p>\n

Once again this year, thanks to an international jury of 19<\/strong> beauty journalists<\/strong> (not just from Marie Claire<\/a> and its various versions, but also from Biba, ELLE, Be, Cosmopolitan, Madame Figaro, Gala, Marie France, Version Femina), the selection focused on innovation, comfort and formula efficacy.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

A total of 10 winners<\/strong> were honored on this occasion, including 8 international prizes and 2 national prizes<\/strong>, in this case for France. The jury awarded a special prize to Yves Saint Laurent Beaut\u00e9<\/a> for its new skincare lines, and the French jury gave its “coup de coeur” to the Garancia<\/a> brand. <\/p>\n

For my part, real (re-)discoveries, especially with Cr\u00e8me de La Mer’s Silky Cream of the<\/strong> Sea<\/a>, which won the Texture prize. Because it’s nice, not to say essential, to be able to appreciate a cream for its lightness and suppleness, as much as for its moisturizing and regenerating properties in this case. <\/p>\n

Another real “coup de foudre”, because our hearts are already set on Est\u00e9e Lauder<\/a>‘s Revitalizing Supreme global cream<\/strong>, a must-have<\/em>. To have<\/em>. I haven’t had the chance to test it yet! But after this consecration, deserved according to all the professionals, I’ve got to have it \ud83d\ude00 because this anti-ageing cream seems to “protect on all fronts” and, beyond the pun, it’s indispensable after the age of 30. <\/p>\n

Last but not least, a video of the ceremony<\/a> was produced by Orange<\/strong> during the evening, allowing us to relive the friendly interventions, full of finesse and humor, of the jurors who handed out the various awards. A special mention goes to the event’s playlist<\/em>, which was very punchy and rhythmic, with the sounds of Lily Wood & The Prick, Ad\u00e8le, C2C<\/strong>, and many other well-chosen artists. <\/p>\n

After this dynamic moment, thanks to the talents ofAriane Goldet<\/strong> (Marie Claire’s Beauty, Health and Beauty Editor-in-Chief and President of the jury), the Pavillon Cambon was quickly transformed into a festive and convivial space. Efficient and discreet Potel & Chabot<\/strong><\/a>the venue’s caterers, ensured that guests were able to gather around refined, delicate dishes. <\/p>\n

The evening will be fondly remembered for a photo-call organized by the event’s technology partner: Orange<\/strong><\/a>. In addition to immortalizing this moment in good company (with Najett De France<\/a> and Vivi LaChipie<\/a>), Orange enabled us to share it with our friends on Facebook<\/a> and\/or followers on Twitter via a connected terminal. <\/p>\n

Likewise, Orange<\/a> offered guests the chance to entrust their precious smartphone to the technical team at the “ mobile services bar <\/strong>” for a makeover \ud83d\ude42 Whether it’s cleaning the device, simply charging the battery or conveniently backing up your contacts on a memory card, this is the perfect way to combine business with pleasure at a time when the cell phone is at the heart of everything we do.<\/p>\n

And since the best beauty products of 2013 shouldn’t be kept just for us, the “twittos” present at the event enjoyed sharing the names and photos of the winners on social networks (including Instagram<\/a>) in real time. If you weren’t with us, the hashtag #MCPEB<\/a><\/strong> must have passed through your newsfeeds more than once…<\/p>\n

In any case, there’s no doubt about the success ofYves Saint Laurent, Lanc\u00f4me, Dior, Est\u00e9e Lauder, Giorgio Armani, Cr\u00e8me de La Mer, L’Or\u00e9al Paris, La Roche-Posay, Sanoflore and Garancia<\/strong>. From now on, be sure to discover them in the beauty areas of Galeries Lafayette<\/a>, as well as at Sephora<\/a> from January 22 (both partner stores of these awards). <\/p>\n

As for us, we’re back in 2014 for some equally sparkling and prestigious beauty excellence awards.<\/p>\n
