Jaeger-LeCoultre reaffirms its support for the marine conservation program. <\/p>\n

From November 6 to 8, for the closing of the 40th anniversary of the World Heritage Convention, a conference will be held in Kyoto at which Jaeger-LeCoultre will speak about its investment in UNESCO as a partner, to affirm its support for the program and mobilize attention around this action.<\/p>\n

On November 6, Jaeger-LeCoultre, in collaboration with the International Herald Tribune, published an article on the Ogasawara Islands in Japan. Located almost 1,000 km south of the main Japanese archipelago, this site comprises more than thirty islands forming three groups and covering a total of 7,393 hectares. They offer a wide variety of landscapes and are home to a rich fauna, including the endangered Bonin spotted dogfish and 195 bird species, many of which are endangered. 441 taxa of native plants have been described on these islands, and their waters are home to numerous species of fish and cetaceans, as well as coral species. <\/p>\n

On the occasion of this anniversary, Jaeger-LeCoultre renews its desire to work alongside UNESCO to protect heritage, and continues its commitment with new projects for 2013.
