As the festive season approaches, Champagne Pommery <\/a><\/strong>pays tribute to Louise Pommery, its muse. In a very limited edition, you’ll find an exceptional cuv\u00e9e, the 1990 vintage, which corresponds to the 100th anniversary of Madame Pommery’s death. <\/p>\n

This Jeroboam (3L)<\/strong>, hand-engraved by artist Patrick Levrault, is presented in a ceruse wood box. It contains a wine of rare finesse and complexity. In the Champagne region, it’s a fact that this large bottle is the most sought-after, as it’s the one with the reputation of allowing the aromas to develop to their fullest. <\/p>\n

Born from the alliance of three of Champagne’s finest grape varieties<\/strong> (Cramant, Chardonnay d’Avize and Pinot Noir d’A\u00ff), this 1990 vintage is the last blended in the previous millennium: it promises an exceptional tasting experience. As I haven’t had the pleasure of tasting it – the box costs \u20ac1,200 in very good wine shops – here’s an extract from the experience I had. <\/p>\n
