From now until November 15, the House of FAUCHON<\/a> is celebrating its famous French-style pralines: a whole history and a good program in perspective.<\/p>\n

So, in this early autumn, to bring you a little comfort, Luxsure went to Place de la Madeleine<\/strong> to tell you more.<\/p>\n

Welcomed by the pastry chef, Fabien Rouillard<\/strong>, we had the chance to taste several praline-based desserts (cake, mini-eclair, macaroon, and chocolates of course).<\/p>\n

He told us how recipe ideas are born<\/strong>: a florist who makes you smell a rose and then a lemon, a morning when you spread orange jam on walnut bread, a walk in the forest where the scent of wood mingles with the cinnamon of the mulled wine waiting for you at the chalet…<\/p>\n

Sometimes, memories come back to him and inspire him to make a combination, like an encounter. That’s how the magic of patisserie works<\/strong>, especially when you have the talent and quality standards of a house like Fauchon. <\/p>\n

In a break with the praline boxes we’re used to seeing at Fauchon, the team has come up with elegant rectangular formats. Each offers an assortment of 5 recipes (including 2 new ones)<\/strong> blending walnuts\/hazelnuts or almonds, and chocolate from 40 to 70%. <\/p>\n

“Developed in partnership with Pascal Caffet, Meilleur Ouvrier de France and FAUCHON Talent<\/strong>, these pralines are made using traditional techniques<\/em>.” And of course in the company’s workshops in France, hence the nod to the collection’s name: MADE IN F.<\/a><\/strong> <\/p>\n

Obviously, the ingredients contribute to the refinement of these sweets; at Fauchon, you’ll only find exceptional products<\/strong> like Piedmont hazelnuts, Valencia almonds, chocolates from Venezuela and the Ivory Coast…<\/p>\n

Freshness, aromas and flavors<\/strong> are captured in these pralines, which can be shared from a few grams (each one makes around ten) to a whole kilo. La Maison has in fact created a “Piano case” of 100 pralines, which will set you back \u20ac170 per kilo \ud83d\ude42 <\/p>\n

With a few rare exceptions (people allergic to oilseeds, etc.), this type of pretty present filled with excellent pralines is sure to delight those who receive it!<\/p>\n

And for other formats and live tastings, gourmets (like me) can meet up at the FAUCHON boutique<\/a> at <\/strong>snack time, for example.<\/p>\n
