The Saxon brand A.Lange & S\u00f6hne has opened its second boutique in the United Arab Emirates. For the occasion, a special limited edition of 30 pieces, the LANGE ZEITWERK HANDWERKSKUNST, was presented. These pieces will be available exclusively in the seven A. Lange & S\u00f6hne boutiques worldwide. <\/p>\n

The A.Lange & S\u00f6hne boutique in the Dubai shopping mall is the largest store of the Saxon watch brand, with a sales area of almost 200 m2. Since its opening, enthusiasts of fine watches have been able to discover the prestigious Saxon watch brand. At the boutique’s inauguration, customers were also introduced to the limited edition LANGE ZEITWERK HANDWERKSKUNST, which will only be available in A. Lange & S\u00f6hne boutiques. Lange & S\u00f6hne boutiques. The watch is distinguished not only by its masterly case, but also by the decorations on the dial and movement, representing A. Lange & S\u00f6hne’s watchmaking craftsmanship and excellence. Lange & S\u00f6hne. With Dubai, we are opening our seventh boutique worldwide and the second in the United Arab Emirates,” explained Wilhelm Schmid, Chairman and CEO of A.Lange & S\u00f6hne, at an international press conference on September 26, 2012. In July, A.Lange & S\u00f6hne opened a boutique in the Eithad Towers in Abu Dhabi. “Our boutiques, yet far from the brand’s Saxon home, evoke the true atmosphere of our tradition, giving lovers of fine watches the opportunity to discover the history, philosophy of the art of watchmaking and craftsmanship of A.Lange & S\u00f6hne,” Wilhelm Schmid added. <\/p>\n

A brief history of A.Lange & S\u00f6hne
\nWith the creation of his manufactory in 1845, Dresden-born watchmaker Ferdinand A.Lange laid the foundations of the Saxon watchmaking industry. His precious pocket watches remain highly coveted by collectors the world over. Since the return of his great-grandson Walter Lange in 1990, A.Lange & S\u00f6hne now produces several thousand gold and platinum wristwatches a year. They are equipped exclusively with patented movements that are richly decorated and assembled by hand. In just over 20 years, A.Lange & S\u00f6hne has developed more than 40 manufacture calibers and is one of the world’s finest watch brands.
