For the eighth year, Le Lut\u00e9tia becomes one of the key venues of the St Germain Jazz Festival. From June 20 to 3, the Left Bank will vibrate to the sound of jazz, recalling its attachment to this musical movement. Since the 1940s, the district has been closely linked to this music. The Lut\u00e9tia contributed to this craze. Many musicians and singers have stayed there. Jos\u00e9phine Backer, one of the driving forces behind the spread of jazz in Paris, stayed there on many occasions.
\nWhat’s more, every evening from 7pm, the bar is transformed into a piano bar. Here, excellent French jazz singers captivate the audience. The lute-jazz evenings are also a real success. They run from Wednesday to Saturday from 10.15pm. \"\"<\/a>
\nThe first three evenings of June will be exceptional. On Friday June 1, the Bojan Z Trio will take over the venue. Bojan Zulfikarpasic is a master of Balkan jazz and its influences. He sometimes goes far beyond, reappropriating classics such as Ellington’s Angelica de Duke. He usually performs with Thomas Bramerie (double bass) and Fabrice Moreau (drums). On this occasion, he will open with a piano solo, reviving a practice he has somewhat neglected. On his latest album, Soul Shelter, he also asserts himself as a soloist. <\/p>\n

On June 2 and 3, the Shai Maestro Trio will delight attentive ears. Shai Maestro, a highly talented young pianist, will present his first album, recorded with bassist Jorge Roeder and Israeli drummer Ziv Ravitz.
\nIntroduced to the piano at the age of 5, Shai was first introduced to jazz at the age of 8, listening to an Oscar Peterson album. At 19, he was hired by double bassist Avishai Cohen. Between Jerusalem and New York, he developed his own sound. <\/p>\n

During these three evenings, initiates and novices alike will no doubt revel in precious moments of sound. The lutetia, a superb setting, will enable you to fully appreciate the creativity and dexterity of these various artists.
