\"\"<\/a>It was auspicious that the husband and wife team of Sachin and Babi Ahluwalia showed their Fall Winter Sachin + Babi collection on Valentine’s Day. The strength of the collection is the versatility of the clothes. With a few exceptions, these clothes really can go from day to night. It is a very Fall Winter collection in the sense of wool coats, some fur, and a lot of leather. Sachin + Babi showed leather in a sophisticated and refined way. A rich deep green leather dress with clean modern lines; a leather t-shirt is straightforward and chic. The leather pieces never look too heavy, case in point, a leather blazer and flared skirt in a smoky paprika color. Many looks were sent down the runway with a wide black croc embossed belt that tapered at the front buckle. Showing the same belt on multiple outfits was smart and it evoked Michelle Obama and the trusted black leather belt she wore prominently with different outfits. Just one signature print would have added some dimension to a show that was styled with few accessories. However, the tulle pieces embroidered with strips of leather are standouts, almost taking the place of prints.
