\nA complete artist, Serge Lutens expresses all his talent in perfume. And although he started out as a hairdresser in a small salon, then went on to work as a make-up artist, photographer, jewelry designer and even film-maker for Vogue and Dior, he is now working with Shiseido. And it was for the presentation of his new fragrance that we were welcomed to the intimate, secret boutique in the Jardins du Palais Royal. A boutique in the man’s image, since it has been entirely designed and decorated down to the smallest detail according to his ideas.
\nThis oriental boudoir-like boutique was created in 1992 especially for the launch of F\u00e9minit\u00e9 du Bois, the flagship fragrance of the “Parfums-Beaut\u00e9 Serge Lutens” brand.
\nToday, the boutique houses the international Serge Lutens collection on sale in perfumeries around the world, as well as an exclusive collection available only at the Salons du Palais Royal.
\n<\/object>
\nBut it was for a third reason that we delved into the world of Serge Lutens. Two years after the release of L’Eau, the designer unveils Eau Froide.
\nThe first eau suggested purity, freshness and the whiteness of a clean cloth on the skin, while Eau Froide is an icy reinterpretation whose fluid becomes as light as air once worn. This unexpectedly cold aspect is achieved thanks to Somali frankincense collected from the Boswellia sacra tree, which can survive periods of drought thanks to its sap alone.
\nAn extraordinary fragrance, then, unisex and crystalline, enveloping the body in a dawn that protects it from all impurities.
\nAnd if Serge Lutens calls these two Eaux “mes orphelines” (my orphans), which shine like ice crystals among his other creations with warmer names and colors, we can’t wait for his next little marvel. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
