For her participation in Paris Fashion Week Spring\/Summer 2014, the French-Cambodian designer invited us to the terrace of Galeries Lafayette, in the Haussmann district.<\/p>\n

Under the radiant, generous sunshine of the day, the square slabs, covered with a light film of water, took us, in a fraction of a second, into a surprising underwater dive.<\/p>\n

Inspired by a woman plunging into the water, Christine Phung explores and plays with grapes of light and mysterious undulating shadows.<\/p>\n

This inspiration is reflected in the materials presented, such as lace or reversible woven jacquard, against backdrops of transparency that make the mannequins’ skin peek out, their slow pace adding to their fascination.<\/p>\n

To achieve this result, Christine Phung collaborated with major French and artistic houses such as Mahlia Kent and Sfate & Combier, to weave skirts, long dresses and teddies, Swarovski for crystal, like a magnified drop of water, and the pleated fabrics of Maison de Lognon.<\/p>\n

Christine Phung’s allure is expressed and supported by sophisticated make-up, highlighted with cardboard blush, blended with a natural hairstyle.<\/p>\n
