EXPLOSION AT THE MUSEE EN HERBE

\nLast Tuesday saw the opening of the Jef A\u00e9rosol et Swing exhibition at the Mus\u00e9e en Herbe. In the wake of the exhibition “Les Hi\u00e9roglyphes de Keith Haring”, more than half a dozen street artists and their godchildren have already invaded the museum floor.
\nAmong them Jean Faucher, J\u00e9r\u00f4me Mesnager and Rero have already passed the baton to present their work and run workshops with children. In keeping with the Ma Premi\u00e8re Galerie concept, established artists will be exhibiting alongside younger artists presenting their work for the first time.
\nJef A\u00e9rosol is a street art pioneer from the early 80s. For almost thirty years, he has been cutting and spray-painting stencils in the likeness of Elvis Presley, Gandhi and Basquiat, among others, but most of his work pays homage to anonymous street people. His portraits are scattered all over the world, from New York to Lisbon, via Rome and Lille, where he now lives and works.
