This morning Jean-Fran\u00e7ois Legaret, Mayor of the 1st arrondissement of Paris, joined the management of Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group and Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Fonci\u00e8re Lyonnaise to inaugurate Mandarin Oriental, Paris, located at 251 rue St Honor\u00e9 in the 1st arrondissement of Paris. <\/p>\n

Mandarin Oriental, Paris officially opened its doors this morning, bringing the legendary elegance and service of the Mandarin Oriental hotel group to the City of Light. An opening ceremony marked the official launch of the hotel. <\/p>\n

During the opening ceremony, Philippe Leboeuf, General Manager of Mandarin Oriental, Paris, declared: “I can’t hide my pride in being at the helm of this ship, and in carrying the values of Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group! A hotel is also, and above all, the people who work in it. We’re extremely proud to have been able to recruit such a formidable team, with its different cultures and backgrounds.<\/p>\n

Christoph Mares, Chief Operating Officer of the Mandarin Oriental hotel group in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, added: “We are delighted and excited to be opening Mandarin Oriental in the heart of Paris, the world’s leading destination. This opening represents a major step forward in our group’s development strategy”.<\/p>\n

“Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Fonci\u00e8re Lyonnaise is delighted to have made it possible for one of Mandarin Oriental’s finest jewels in the world to move to Paris,” commented Juan Jose Brugera Clavero, President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Fonci\u00e8re Lyonnaise, owner of the property.

Mandarin Oriental, Paris brings together international names in architecture and design. Architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte oversaw the renovation of the building, its fa\u00e7ade and patio. Sybille de Margerie designed the interior architecture and decoration of the rooms, spa and public areas, while Patrick Jouin and Sanjit Manku designed the bar and restaurants. <\/p>\n

Mandarin Oriental, Paris offers 138 of the most spacious luxury rooms and suites in Paris, and a large, oriental-inspired interior garden designed by Wilmotte & Associ\u00e9s, in collaboration with landscape architects Fran\u00e7ois Neveux and Bernard Rouyer. <\/p>\n

When it comes to dining, the hotel boasts a choice of two restaurants and bars designed by Thierry Marx: Sur Mesure par Thierry Marx, a gourmet restaurant designed as a hushed, haute-couture setting with a skylight. Le Cam\u00e9lia, a restaurant with simple, accessible cuisine; Bar 8, a Pastry Counter and La Table du Jardin, for an exceptional moment. <\/p>\n

In a peaceful setting, the Spa offers holistic treatments to promote relaxation and well-being, with programs exclusive to Mandarin Oriental: wellness and beauty treatments, sculpting… Open to all, the Spa has seven private suites, each equipped for treatments combining hydrotherapy and heat sources, a large indoor pool and a fitness center.
