Gemma Arterton Opens The Harrods Summer Sale PHOTO:STEVE FINN<\/p><\/div>\n

On Saturday 18th June, British actress Gemma Arterton opened the most anticipated retail event of the year: the Harrods Summer Sale. The former Bond Girl and Glamour Awards Film Actress of the Year for 2011, wowed crowds in a black and white sequin Balmain dress selected by Harrods BY APPOINTMENT personal shopping service. <\/p>\n

Gemma was welcomed by Executive Director and Head of General Investment Portfolio of Qatar Holding and Harrods board member, Dr Kamel Maamria. Also invited to the event was ex-Chairman of Harrods Mohamed Al Fayed. <\/p>\n

While busy shoppers embarked on their summer bargain hunt, Gemma posed for pictures in the store’s iconic Georgian Restaurant, fronting a catwalk lined by a host of mannequins dressed from head-to-toe in must-have sale items!<\/p>\n

Speaking at the event, Gemma said:
\n“Harrods has always been one of my favourite London stores, so I’m thrilled they invited me along to open the best sale in the world. So, ladies and gentleman, all I can say now is get ready, get steady – shop!”<\/p>\n

Last Day of Sale
\nSunday 10th July
\n11.30am – 6pm<\/p>\n
