Transcendent music, white tam tam and rays of sunlight illuminate the room. True to her minimalist universe, Adeline Andr\u00e9 presents her Haute Couture A\/W 2011-12 collection in the heart of the Marais, in the historic H\u00f4tel d’Ecquevilly. <\/p>\n

Two by two<\/em><\/p>\n

<\/em>This season, for Adeline Andr\u00e9, Haute Couture rhymes with duo.<\/p>\n

Entering through two lined-up doors, two women meet and move forward in symbiosis. Models of all ages and physiques, as one couple follows another, a rhythm sets in. <\/p>\n

As in all her shows, the designer’s staging is skilfully orchestrated.<\/p>\n

In each couple, one of the models stands out from the other by sporting a more colorful outfit.<\/p>\n

Coats, jackets and three-armhole dresses follow one another. Large pockets as a continuation of the sleeves and imposing lapels are subtly applied to the pieces. <\/p>\n

The falls are strict. Cuts and materials give a severe look. But this is softened by a range of warm colors. <\/p>\n

Later, lighter dresses with a small ombr\u00e9 side in doeskin are paraded. Like mermaids, a duo arrives in long, steamy, brightly colored silk crepe dresses. <\/p>\n

The outfits are seemingly simple, but the precision of the cut and the striking colors and materials work their charms.<\/p>\n

As usual, Adeline Andr\u00e9’s show was both sober and original.<\/p>\n
