At Luxsure, we weren’t invited to the Jean Charles de Castelbajac show, so we had to wait until the house’s press days to really appreciate the clothes…appreciate? Admire would be a more accurate term, given the richness of what we saw. <\/div>\n

Two collections were presented. The designer’s eponymous line and his diffusion line, JC\/DC by Jean Charles de Castelbajac (featuring both men and women). <\/div>\n

The first pieces to stand out for me were the two-material garments, leather and linen. From trench coats and jackets to cape dresses, the designer has fun in several registers. Virginal white, cerulean blue, canary yellow and malachite green, crazy patterns and an explosion of color make for a collection that, at first glance, is joyful. Prints range from angelic (embroidered wing details on shoulders) to crazy (cubic landscapes topped with palm trees and eyes). \"\"<\/p>\n

The clothes in the JCDC collection are aimed at a younger audience. With animal prints, the colors are more basic than those of the runway collection. The tiger’s head motif, which seems to have been the inspiration for a number of designers, is recalled in both prints and monograms. <\/div>\n
