With \u00c9clats de chantier<\/em>, painter and photographer Corinne Dauger continues her quest for desire. Inspired by a year of reportage on the world’s largest construction sites, she presents a series of silver paintings and photographic prints in the studio of Michelin-starred chef Guy Martin, sublimating the material and offering another vision of the construction site. Lyrical and poetic.

The framework of desire. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>Iron stairs. Orange overalls. Yellow helmets. Massive scaffolding. \"\"<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

And the tenderness of Corinne Dauger’s view of the harshness of an essentially masculine world. The artist detects materials, colors and structures, extracting them to create compositions structured by well-defined lines and spaces. Figurative, often abstract, these works echo both the ceaseless human ambition to build and the solitude of men, or even their absence. <\/span><\/span><\/span> I’m fascinated by large-scale construction sites,”<\/em> explains Corinne Dauger. From chaos, I seek to build harmony, from raw material, balanced and refined constructions. <\/em>Her prints on Christophe silver plates, which demonstrate the delicacy of her line, capture this paradox particularly well. <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n
