<\/a>Dom P\u00e9rignon asked the Design Laboratory at Central Saint Martins School of Art to interpret the seasons in Champagne.<\/p>\n

In homage to Champagne and Dom P\u00e9rignon, its spiritual father, the Design Laboratory at Central Saint Martins School of Art presents its own original vision. Inspired by the emblematic character of Andy Warhol’s work, the Design Laboratory delivers this vision of the color of the seasons in Champagne, on the case and bottle. With this reinterpretation, the seasons reveal a new prism, as Black and White meet Color. Winter, Summer, Autumn. The result is an exclusive limited-edition collection: three different bottles, each with its own blue, yellow or red label. <\/p>\n

Harvesting<\/span><\/p>\n

Spring was warm and dry, with no significant frosts and almost perfect flowering. Summer was marked by long sunny spells, regularly interspersed with dull, rainy spells. The unexpectedly ideal pre-harvest weather made it easy to forget the generous rainfall at the end of August and beginning of September. Sanitary quality was good, and the concentration of the berries pushed ripeness to new heights. Harvesting began between September 12 and 28. <\/p>\n

Tasting notes<\/span><\/p>\n

The first hints, fresh almond and harvest, open up immediately to candied lemon and dried fruit. This is complemented by the darker characters of smoke and toast. The palate is dense and creamy, an energetic, warm, fruit-centric interpellation that gradually deepens. The whole holds the note beautifully, intensely, barely underlined by a subtle, racy bitterness. <\/p>\n
