A fashion show like no other took place on Monday evening at the March\u00e9 Forville.
\nNaomi Campbell invited her girlfriends to take to the catwalk at the initiative of her “Fashion for Relief” association in partnership with Vogue magazine, for a charity fashion show in aid of the Japanese Red Cross.
\nNo\u00e9mie Lenoir, Victoria Silvstedt, Rosario Dawson and Jane Fonda were all on hand to help the victims of Fukushima.
\nAmong the guests, Roberto Cavalli, present in the room between Ivana Trump and designer Kenneth Cole, donated four pieces from his brand to the association. Naomi Campbell appeared on the catwalk in three different dresses: a Marchesa, an Alexander McQueen and an Yves Saint Laurent. After the star-studded runway show, an auction was held, again in aid of the Japanese Red Cross: an Obama picture frame, for example, sold for 60,000 euros to a wealthy stranger, as did one of Novak Djokovic’s tennis rackets, which fetched 28,000 euros. A video of Carla Bruni was broadcast, in which France’s First Lady announced her great regret at not being able to make the trip, and appealed to the generosity of participants. Despite model Lindsey Wixson’s repeated falls during the show, Naomi Campbell’s “Fashion for Relief” was a success, thanks in particular to the finale where 73-year-old actress Jane Fonda radiated in a gold Marchesa gown. <\/p>\n
